I’m KC.
I was born in Pennsylvania and am based in Chicago. I’m a naturally restless person who believes life is best lived constantly exploring.
My writing philosophy centers on showcasing and celebrating the particulars of life—the quirks and questions—to learn more about ourselves collectively and build connection. A written piece should be able to converse with you, sit down for a cup of coffee with you, and be a balletic backseat driver of your own values and perspectives.
My writing marries the best of professional and creative writing, thanks to my undergraduate studies at John Carroll University and my post-graduate studies at Oxford University. My experience ranges anywhere from office-based marketing writing, to one-on-one feature writing, to event coverage, to serving as managing editor for American Healthcare Leader magazine and editor of numerous articles, books, and reports.
In addition to working with words, I love to travel, camp, and cook. I can plan a mean party and make a stellar charcuterie board. And I believe sentences can start with contractions.
